THERAPY AT HOME AND ITS BENEFITS
AUG 2021
True to its advocacy, social enterprise 21 Extra Goodness will do a FREE webinar session, entitled “Therapy At Home and its Benefits” on 12 Aug, 9.00pm via Facebook Live to empower parents to aid their children achieve their milestones from 0-3 years old.
21 Extra Goodness (21EG) is a proud member of raiSE Singapore, an ecosystem builder who supports the social enterprise sector by providing programmes and training for capacity building and mentorship. 21EG has collaborated with the following therapy centres to promote early intervention and do therapy at home:
- Magic Beans Feeding and Speech Therapy is a centre dedicated to helping people with speech, language, voice, fluency, as well as, swallowing (dysphagia) and feeding difficulties.
- At Wonders Therapy, they see all children and families as wonders and dreams of a well-integrated and inclusive society for them. They believe that early intervention is best done in the natural environment, such as in the home and in community life settings where children live, learn and play. The team believes that family-centred care is key to successful therapy outcomes.
- ConnectEducation Kids Therapy Center is a pediatric therapy center in the Philippines. By targeting the Early Childhood Years, the centre can nurture the child’s natural abilities and facilitate their optimal potential using various therapeutic techniques during play and engaging activities. Services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy; online and face to face.
21 Extra Goodness is also working with its media partner – theAsianParent – the #1 pregnancy and parenting app in Southeast Asia with presence in 13 countries and has more than 30M monthly app users.
Vouchers from theAsianParent and gemstone bracelets from Native Cocoon will be given away to lucky winners at the end of the session.
RAINBOW CENTRE
Jun 2021
21 Extra Goodness together with Rainbow Centre Singapore has organized a DIY kite activity with their students from Yishun Park and Margaret Drive schools last June 2021. We would have loved to be there in person but due to Phase 2 Safe Management Measures (SMM) by the government, we conducted the art and craft session online with the 2 centres instead.
Rainbow Centre Singapore (Rainbow Centre) serves infants, children and the youth with a diverse range of developmental and learning needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and multiple disabilities, which may involve a combination of intellectual, physical, visual and/or hearing impairments.
Founded in 1992, Rainbow Centre currently runs two Special Education (SPED) schools for students aged 7-18 years old and two Early Intervention Programme (EIP) centres for children 2 months to 6 years old, at two campuses — Margaret Drive and Yishun Park.

Dignity Mama
May 2021
Dignity Mama sells pre-loved books and enables young adults with disabilities to gain basic entrepreneurial skills and lead independent lives.
With the generous support of Dani Van de Velde, we have decided to donate the remaining 21EG Bags of Goodness to Dignity Mama to help their sales in-store where the Bag was given for every purchase of books worth $21 last May 2021. We were so happy to meet their staff who had special needs – Qian Ni, Jian Ning & Shu Yi – who gamely posed for the camera when we visited their branch in NUH.
In these troubling times where we need to support local and (more importantly), an inclusive employer, do drop by in any of their stores to buy their pre-loved books.
They have branches in Khoo Teck Puat, Ng Teng Fong, Sengkang Hospital and in National University Hospital.
Bag of Goodness
MAR 2021
In celebration of World Down Syndrome Day last 21 March 2021, 21 Extra Goodness launched “Bag of Goodness”, a welcome hamper donated to new mothers who have just given birth to kids with special needs.
We donated “Bags of Goodness” to Down Syndrome Association (Singapore) that contained baby items to children aged 0-2 yrs old. It is meant to give hope and assurance to the mother that everything will be alright with the proper support and intervention for their child.
21EG has collaborated with the following partners to contribute to this worthy cause: Hoy Bags, Mothercare, Kao Merries, Dignity Mama and welovesupermom
